Every open ECB summons on a firm's license record, pulled together from DOB violation records into a single file. This is the practice's specialty, and it is the work behind the Open-Violation File.
For each open summons on the license record, the file records:
The Department of Buildings keeps a violation record on every licensed firm, and open ECB summonses stay on that record whether the firm knows about them or not.
Open violations can hold up permits, Certificates of Occupancy, and Letters of Completion.
A firm cannot act on summonses it has not seen. The record pull is what makes the rest of the work possible: deadlines, correction packs, and the amnesty screen all start from the complete list.
Start with the record itself. The Open-Violation File runs $399 flat per license record, or send a record review request and start there.
