What an uncertified Class 1 summons carries

Five of the summonses on the sample record above are Class 1, and none has a Certificate of Correction on file. Under the Department of Buildings' Certificate of Correction rules, a Class 1 summons at a construction site, other than a 1 to 4 family home, that is not corrected and certified can draw an additional $5,000 civil penalty per summons, with re-inspections every 60 days.

Questions

What does the file cover?

One license record: every open ECB summons on it, each summons's deadline in the order it falls due, a correction pack for each summons that can be certified, and a screen of the record against the Debt Demolisher amnesty.

How much does it cost, and how long does it take?

$399 flat per license record, ready in 48 hours. Firms charge $250 to $350 per violation for this work; the file covers the whole record at one flat price.

Where does the file come from?

Every file is prepared from the Department of Buildings' own violation and license records.

Does the file close my summonses?

No. The file is preparation: it puts the record in order and assembles the correction packs. A summons closes when its penalty track is resolved and a Certificate of Correction is approved by the Department of Buildings. OATH and DOB decide.

If I pay a summons, is it closed?

No. Paying resolves the penalty track only. The summons stays open until a Certificate of Correction is filed in DOB NOW: Safety and approved. Paying a summons does not close it explains the two tracks.

What does the amnesty screen tell me?

Where the record stands against the Debt Demolisher terms before the window closes on January 10, 2027: which summonses group as defaulted, which as heard and in violation, and which exclusions may apply. The screen is not a promise of eligibility or savings; the judgment record decides.

My firm has more than one license. How does that work?

Order one file per license record. Each file covers the open summonses tied to that record.

We prepare the file. OATH and DOB decide. No outcome is promised.
