Deadlines in order

Each summons carries its own deadline. The file sets the deadlines out in the order they fall due, so the firm sees what is coming instead of finding out late.

The deadlines on a record

A single license record can carry several kinds of deadline at once: hearing dates, the certification clock on Class 1 summonses, and program dates such as the close of the Debt Demolisher amnesty window. The file's deadline board sets them out in one sequence, nearest first.

What a missed deadline leaves behind

Each summons carries a deadline, and a deadline that passes leaves the summons open.

A missed hearing leaves the summons in default, with the default penalty in the balance.

A Class 1 summons with no certificate on file can draw a $5,000 penalty, and the re-inspection cycle runs every 60 days until a Certificate of Correction is approved.
